Koforidua Regional Hospital Male ward renovated | The male ward of the Koforidua Regional Hospital has been renovated and given a facelift.
The ward which hitherto was one huge space with beds within and in passageways now has rooms where patients can have privacy.
A second “hall” with a bed capacity of 14 has been added.
The yet to be commissioned new block has given the hospital a lift.
This is after nurses received training in the use of endoscopy and laparoscopy equipment recently acquired through internally generated funds.
The Regional Hospital has been in the news for chalking some developmental successes in the past few years.
Haven survived the era of erratic power supply with a new generator acquired through internally generated funds, the hospital went on to set up its own oxygen production plant.
Speaking exclusively to the Ghana Health News, the Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Kwame Anim Boamah was happy with the fact that patients now enjoy some privacy at the ward.
Overlooking the beautiful “gardens” of the hospital, the ward also now has two entrances, and feels more like a comfortable recuperating edifice.
The new ward which is already in use will be commissioned at a yet to be announced date.
